The Amazing Race 4
The Amazing Race 4 is coming soon on the 2nd of April and we are looking to host it with a BANG this year. At a Fund A Child we have a policy of ensuring that each year is better than the last especially focusing on how we can educate the public on why we are raising money. This year we are looking for easier activities that are engaging the enclosed community of IST with the vast communities of Dar es Salaam. We want to educate people on why FAC exists and why we strive to plan some of the most creative and well organized activities in IST. FAC's goal is not only to raise money and have fun but rather have an educational approach to involve communities in education and helping develop a sense of unity with those in need. Fund A Child believes in sustainability which is why the money that we gather goes to funding women to start businesses, provide education, and learn skills. Speaking about sustainability, this year as the President of Fund A Child along side Saaj Visaria as the Co-president we have decided to hand it down to the next team of leaders. We have now passed it down to Aahil Velani as the president and Raj Dawda as the Co-president who are now in charge of the activity. The core team consists of Harsh Rughani, Aman Tanna, Sumit Dhebhar, and Megha Sharma. They are known as the giant six who are now currently running everything that goes on within the CAS. We are seeing a development and change in leadership methods which is always good to see. Work is getting more distributed through strong delegating. This year with the FAC AR4 we were able to sustain a 5000$ sponsorship and educate those companies in having a charitable front through FAC alongside receiving close to 2 million shillings in revenue from participants. We were able to for the firs time in history have a 18%:82% ratio of cost to profit. This money will then be used in developing the promising women. We worked hard this year and focused a lot on marketing which is always great to see. I am glad that our communication is improving and that people are starting to take CAS seriously even though sometimes they can get a bit off track.
