Today was the first day at the Hague, where the Mode United Nations conference is going to take place this week. I am extremely excited for this week to get underway, however I did learn something very important already in the first day. I learned that being organized and managing your time is very important and you need to prioritize what is important and what is not. Over the last week I felt that I might have been slacking and wasting too much of my time on the internet not doing anything rather than studying for THIMUN chairing procedures. Although I can now learn from this and I can prioritize on what I need to do. I also learned that communication is an essential thing between people when it comes to a group trip which is why we organized good ways to communicate with one another and ensure that we have communication with each other at all times. I have posted a few photos here below.
During this last week at MUN things have been quite hectic. I have been working on multiple things during this week. As the THIMUN trip gets closer the more pressure I have on my plate. As a CAS student this is one of the things I want to blog about. The stress. It is definitely not easy coping with all the stress that an individual receives from IB1. There are many things that must be done and on top of that you have to lead MSMUN and prepare for THIMUN. Although there are a lot of negative things that one must cope with, we also have to understand that it is part of the IB life and that we must continue to strive for our best. As a leader I have learned over the last week how to handle a big group of kids whilst managing other work within MUN. Sometimes I tend to slack off and not finish the work I started, however as time goes by I have learned how to deal with that situation and it is really helping out with managing my time between MUN and other activities. I am very excited for the THIMUN trip as it comes and I have been working on revising key information before the trip.
