As the dates for THIMUN nears, Aahil and I look to train the THIMUN team. I am very excited for the upcoming THIMUN trip as I look to take in charge in the GA5 committee. There have been a few problems in the recent times after the December break that I feel could have been dealt with in a better and more organized manner. The first point that needs to be addressed is that the core MUN leadership team is out of sync with no one knowing what is going on, and I am also to take blame for that. I feel that to overcome this problem all of us need to sit down and discuss what we need to do for the future and how we can handle the MUN program. The following problem is that we as the core MUN leadership team is not getting the right support from the teachers, our current teachers are Mr. Flynn, Mr. Fitzpatrick, and Mrs. Duhig. In my opinion Mr. Flynn takes too much stress about the smallest problems hence not allowing us as the team to do our job. If he could give us space to focus on our work since MUN is a student lead activity it would really make a difference. It is also partly the reason why the core team is unorganized, since Mr. Flynn is telling every one in the core team to do different things that are clashing with one another. To solve this issue I will look to sit down with the core team and discuss this issue and bring it up to Mr. Flynn in a diplomatic way so that he can give us space to run the show.
On the other hand the MUN program is running well and the 23 delegates are excited to travel to The Hague for an absolutely fantastic trip this January!
